Imprints on the sands of time

This was another episode in a step towards beautification of public spaces. The place was Old Faridabad Flyover which witnessed 500 artists across the country in making a dismal flyover into a sparkling one. The topic was based on our stories , a reminiscent of our blooming days, when our elders use to recite bedtime stories, to make us fall in sleep, to teach us moral and social values and to bring awareness of real life situations in a joy full way. Imprints on the sands of time, a wall painting competition is a chance to feel nostalgic about the good old days and reflect back to the impressions of those memories , a opportunity for the creative heads to paint those impressions on the walls of Faridabad.  The competition is organized by Municipal Corporation of Faridabad & Smartcity Faridabad and supported by DomainKida.com. The event is an educational initiative by the government to make the next generation aware of the rich tradition of storytelling in India and to enrich the beauty of city through visual arts. Above 12000 sq. ft area of painting done on a mere single day of winter.  The half a day long event began with the hand imprinting on the intersection wall of the Old Faridabad flyover. Where the hand imprints were done by our Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Government of Haryana, Sh. Vipul Goyal, followed by the other people. The first prize winner were depicting the painting of “Vikram & Betaal”. The painting showed how the time has changed. The painting shows the change from television to WI-FI which attracted the Jury members to make it the First prize winner.
